Seniors and Photography
We excited to announce that our Founder Diana Nazareth will serve as a project consultant and lead instructor for the Regent Park Seniors’ PhotoVoice Project (RPSPP)!
RPSPP is a free photography and storytelling workshop designed for seniors ages 65 + who reside in Regent Park, Toronto. In a series of weekly workshops, participants will be encouraged to explore what they consider the ‘heart’ of their community through photography, the written word and audio recordings. The project will culminate in a community-wide photo exhibit and celebration at the ArtHeart Community Centre showcasing the seniors’ photographs, writings and recordings.

We are currently inviting seniors 65 + interested in learning about photography and writing to apply. No previous experience is necessary. All materials will be provided. Please note that registration is on a first-come, first serve basis and spots are limited.
The program is FREE to those participants who can meet the following criteria:
MUST be 65 years of age or older.
MUST be a resident of Regent Park.
MUST have an interest in photography, but no experience is required.
MUST be able to attend at least 4 of the 5 workshop dates.
Can commit to attend the Photo Exhibit to be scheduled in November 2017.
